Hi, I'm Dr. Tara.
I graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2009, and have focused my post-graduate studies on learning new techniques to effectively and gently treat a broad range of conditions. I have attended numerous educational seminars on nutritional management of diabetes, heart disease, pre-diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
I decided to pursue chiropractic as a career after my own encounter with the benefits of Chiropractic care. I was experiencing low back pain that was keeping me from playing volleyball. After just three adjustments, I was back to the sport I loved so dearly, and I noticed that I was experiencing fewer headaches, and less motion sickness too! I am a helper by nature, so when I found the benefits of chiropractic, I knew it was the career I had to pursue. I have learned so much more than I ever imagined through my education as well as my years in practice. I count myself so lucky to be a chiropractor - each day is different and brings new opportunities, questions, and sometimes challenges, but this drives me to continue to learn new techniques and refine my practical skills and knowledge base. I strive to provide the best patient-centered care available; addressing each person as a sum of parts that need to work cohesively rather than just treating individual symptoms.
When I’m not working, I love to bake and cook – I am constantly trying out new recipes on my husband Kevin. We also spend a lot of time with our family pets- an energetic boxer named Griffey and a Siamese rescue named Moll-e.
