Bike Framing Materials

Cost of a mountain bike frame is proportionate to the material, and the processing of the received material. Currently there are five types of material used in mountain bikes – high tensile steel, chrome steel, aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber. oversized diameters, heat treating and tubing material treatments that are sold will increase
The cost of the frame.

High-tensile steel
It is very durable alloy that is found in lower priced mountain bikes.

Relatively inexpensive to produce, you will find this material trail bikes, city bikes, mountain bikes and even denied. There are several rounds that come with a chrome seat tube, while the rest is high tensile steel.

Chrome steel
Chrome steel material offers very good durability and a compliant ride quality.

Titanium
Frames made of titanium remain expensive because it takes longer to weld pipes on frame. More compliant than chrome it more resistant to fatigue and corrosion properties.

Aluminum
With dual suspension bikes, aluminum is the preferred material
Aluminum is stiffer than chrome, and therefore there will be a tear of chrome. The advantage of aluminum is that the frame is very light and very difficult to over sizing or butting.

The material you choose for your bike, it all depends on where you drive and what style you use.
